Are you a bookworm, or somebody who keeps meaning to read more?
We have just the club for all kinds of readers: SU Reads is your low-commitment, super chill book club that meets once a month. SU Reads is meeting in The Atrium tonight, from 18:00-20:00. We'd love to see ya there! 💛
Oh, and did we mention that you won’t have to pay a penny?
SU Reads is free to attend, AND we provide the books! If you’ve attended an SU Reads before, we’ll send you an email asking if you’d like the next book. If you’ve never been before, drop SU Engagement (suengagement@essex.ac.uk) an email to request the book and we’ll get you sorted!
You don’t need to attend every session, just rock up when you feel like having some lovely book chatter. You can even join in if you haven’t read the month’s book to find out what people thought of it, and to talk about other reads, the good, the bad, and the ugly.
What’s more, SU Reads is totally student-led, as you guys decide what to read. Romance, fantasy, classic, literary fiction, thrillers - what’ll be picked next? 😱
Tonight’s SU Reads discussion is loosely about the novel A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking by T. Kingfisher, and next month’s novel is Heartless by Marissa Meyer. 📖
Come and see what SU Reads is all about! Everyone is welcome. 😊
