We are saddened about last weekend’s Islamophobic arson attack on Peacehaven Mosque in East Sussex. Our thoughts are with the community members in Sussex affected by the attack.

We stand in solidarity with Muslim students and members of staff here on campus and members of the community around the UK in rejecting Islamophobia in all of its forms.

These attacks are a direct result of the ongoing inflammatory, racist and xenophobic rhetoric against Muslim people and other marginalized groups. It is imperative that we unite in standing against this to safeguard our communities.
