WHAT IS NETBALL?

Netball is a non-contact ball sport played by two different teams of seven players.

The aim of the game is to score as many goals as possible.

Goals are scored by throwing the ball into the ring at each end of the court.

All players have specific positions; Goal Keeper, Goal Defence, Wing Defence, Centre, Wing Attack, Goal Attack and Goal Shooter which restricts their movement on the court.

You are not allowed to run with the ball, hold the ball for more than three seconds or contact any other player.

All you need to play Netball at Essex is some appropriate sport trainers and an awesome attitude to get involved and give it a go; no matter whether you've played before or it's your first time.
