As a cultural society to represent a nation in the University of Essex, our core objective is to unite Vietnamese students in a small community here, and also teach other students about Vietnamese culture and cuisine. We welcome all students regardless of ethnicity and are a diverse society! In VietSoc, we host many socials and events throughout the year for members and non-members to enjoy. From potluck events, food stalls, games nights, to sports events, we try and host as much as possible to accommodate all!
This society is about having fun, meeting other people and also opening yourselves to a different experience here at University and many opportunities. We partake in collaborative events/socials with other cultural societies and sports clubs such as the annual International Gala, as well as volunteer with VTeam and fundraise for charity with bake sales etc.
