Archery General Elections 2024-25 Academic Year

These are the annual elections to decide who will lead your club into the next academic year. Please note that all who are elected will assume their roles as of 1st August, unless agreed upon by both the newly elected exec member and the current exec member that they will handover sooner

Essex Blades Archery Club welcomes people of all abilities - from experienced archers to novices who have never touched a bow before. Archery provides a great chance to experience a unique, alternative sport with a competitive and social environment, that is both welcoming and engaging. As one of the fastest-growing sports in the UK, it has seen a surge in popularity in recent years.

How many teams do we have?

Experienced Team:

> For experienced members who've either done archery before or trained at the club for more than a year

Novice Team:

> For new members who are in their first year of doing archery & want to push themselves to the next level

(Note: Spaces on the teams are limited & members are chosen at the discretion of the team captain or president)

Do I need anything else before I get involved?

Closed-toe footwear is mandatory, lanyards and large piercings must be removed, and long sleeves are suggested but not mandatory.

We provide all the specialist equipment you may need, so you don't need to purchase anything before you join!

To be a part of the club, you need to join up as a member. All of the different club membership options are listed below with a description of what each membership covers.

* Please note that your membership information will be used in conjunction with Essex Sport (University), purely for the purpose of providing access to required facilities and data analysis. Your data will not be shared with anyone else or used for marketing purposes.

By purchasing a membership you are agreeing to the club's code of conduct.

 

Please note, as memberships have to be uploaded to the Essex Sport system manually, it may take 3-5 working days before you are able to book onto your session via the Essex Sport app and attend training sessions. Should you have any problems, please email scadmin@essex.ac.uk
