DODGEBALL
hello, we are the UNIVERSITY OF ESSEX DODGEBALL club
Dodgeball is a competitive sport played with 5 balls and 6 players on each team. The objective is to eliminate the opposition players by throwing the balls at them. Catching a ball that is thrown at you means that the player who threw it is eliminated and one of your previously eliminated teammates can come back into the game.
We play competitively against other universities and dodgeball clubs. We welcome players (men or women) of all abilities to come try the newest and most exciting sport at The University of Essex.
How many teams do we have?
Men's 1 team (BUCS Dodgeball Men's South Eastern Tier 1)
Women's 1 team (BUCS Dodgeball Women's South Eastern Tier 1)
Men's 2nd team
We are one club and all train together!
Recent honours?
We received a Gold Standard Award in 2019/20 and 202122 and a Silver one in 2020/21.
Do I need anything else before I get involved?
No prior dodgeball experience is needed, we are a newcomer-friendly club. Bring appropriate sports clothing and trainers. Kneepads are optional, but may help.
