Hockey Pre-Season Training 🏑
What is pre-season, and what is it for?
Pre-season training is a great opportunity to dust off any cobwebs, get back on the pitch and learn some new skills a few weeks before the season begins. The sessions will help players build their fitness, develop their hockey skills and prepare for the competitive BUCS season ahead.
Who is pre-season for?
Everyone is welcome! Whether you are a current club member looking to get back into training, a returning player, or someone who has never played hockey before and wants to give it a try, come along and get involved.
How can students book onto the sessions?
You can book onto the sessions through the Essex Sport app. If you are unsure how to book, don't worry — you can always come along and the team will be happy to show you how!
- Download the Essex Sport app if you haven’t already.
- Head to ‘SU Clubs’.
- Find Hockey.
- Book onto the pre-season session that suits you.
Is it free for students?
Yes! All pre-season sessions are free to attend. However, you will need to purchase a Hockey Social Membership to take part.
Simply click ‘Join Here’ at the top of the Hockey Club’s webpage and select the Hockey Social Membership.
Who will be leading the sessions?
Sessions will be led by our Head Coach, Matt Brown, alongside some student-led sessions, giving you the opportunity to train, learn and meet other members of the club.
