hello, we are the essex blades judo club


Judo is many things to different people. It is a fun sport, an art, a recreational or social activity, a fitness program, a means of self-defense or combat, and a way of life. People practice Judo to excel in competition, to stay in shape, to develop self-confidence, and for many other reasons. But most of all, people do Judo just for the fun of it.
 

How many teams do we have?

Judo is an individual sport but members have the opportunity to compete throughout the year in various competitions, including BUCS Nationals.

Marian Stoykov - BUCS Nationals Judo -81kg Silver Medal - 2017
Julianne Haarmann - BUCS Nationals Judo -70kg Gold Medal - 2018

 

Do I need anything else before I get involved?

Comfortable sports clothes or a Judo Gi if you have one.

To be a part of the club, you need to join up as a member. All of the different club membership options are listed below with a description of what each membership covers.
