Just when we’d thought we’d done enough celebrating for one year, the NSS results are in and we are now ranked 8th in the country for the quality of our academic representation - which is awesome!

We have been ranked in the top 10 for the third year in a row! And it’s all thanks to you, our members - the people who shape the SU into something we can all be proud of.

Last year we ranked 20th overall, 14th in the UK and 13th in England, so here’s a massive thank you to all of our members for moving the SU into the top ten for mainstream universities this year.

All of our final year students get the chance to complete the NSS survey, so we’d just like to thank them for recognising us in this way.

It wouldn’t have been possible without our members, as well as our teams of Student Reps, student staff and volunteers.  You make the SU what it is, and working together you have helped shape something you can be proud of.

Students’ Union president Asha Ali said “We’re extremely proud that for a third year in a row, our Students’ Union has achieved Top 10* for effectively representing students’ academic interests. It’s great to see that the work we’ve continued to deliver over the years has had a real impact in supporting our students, ensuring their voice is heard!”

Laura Robinson, VP Education added “We’re so excited that once again, our Students’ Union is being recognised nationally for its incredible work in progressing students' transformative education. We’re so happy that we have ranked 8th in the country for the quality of our academic representation* thanks to the incredible hard work of all our student reps and our Education team of staff within the SU.
