The Sri Lankan Society is all about celebrating the culture, traditions, and spirit of Sri Lanka while creating a friendly and welcoming community for everyone. 🇱🇰

Whether you grew up in Sri Lanka, have Sri Lankan heritage, or are simply interested in the island’s food, music, and culture, this is the place for you! Throughout the year we host a variety of events – from cultural nights and games evenings to food socials, dance, and festival celebrations. Expect plenty of laughter, good company, and of course, delicious Sri Lankan food. 🥘✨

Sri Lankan Society | SU Communities Election 26-27

1. Candidates must be a Student of the University of Essex, and a full member of the University of Essex Students’ Union for the academic year 2026-2027. 2. At the time of applying, candidates cannot be in their final year of study at Essex. 3. Candidates must be a current member of the society. 4. Candidates can only apply for one core position within each society but may apply for multiple positions across multiple societies.
