Friends International

Growing friendship & faith with international students

Friends International Society is a part of Friends International Colchester, a Christian organisation seeking to grow friendship and faith with international students in the UK.

What Does Friends International Do

We want to give as many as we can a great time here, chances to experience real local culture, and opportunities to hear the Christian message. Our activities are open to those of any faiths or none.

We equip churches and volunteers to serve, minister, and engage with international students, caring for them holistically. We also organise a range of social events and activities for international students to be a part of.

We have been working on campus and in Essex for over 20 years, where meaningful connections have been made and with previous students returning to visit us every year.

What Do We Have to Offer

  • Weekly Cultural Cafe On Campus
  • Special Events for Various Cultural Occasions (Christmas, Lunar New Year, ect.)
  • Day Trip Outings around East Anglia (We have been to Lavenham, Dedham, Tiptree, Harwich and Walton-on-Naze over the summer)
  • Family Dinners at A Local English Family
