Essex Blades Squash!

 

Squash is arguably the most intense sport going, and our member base is no different; all three of our men's teams achieved maximum position in the league (in addition to winning the BUCS Cup) last year thanks to the hard work put in during training.

We aim to build on last year's success, so be prepared to break a sweat! Off the court, we host 'lively' socials every single week, and are an incredibly friendly and tight bunch of mates. All are welcome, joining squash will absolutely enhance your uni experience!

Club aims

Being part of the squash team should provide two things to our members; firstly a comprehensive squash training plan and the opportunity to play the sport competitively – secondly, a team of good mates to add to their social spectrum here at Essex. The club aims to provide all of these things to our members, and based on last year's success, we will!

  1. To increase fitness elements in our training regime.
  2. To achieve maximum league performance for all women's and men's teams.
  3. To provide an exciting and productive internal league system, allowing both team and non-team.
  4. Play competitive squash, and to learn all elements of squash such as (not excluded to) umpiring.
  5. Bring another element to our member's social lives!
