rowing

hello, we are the essex blades rowing club

Rowing is a sport consisting of crews of up to 8 rowers and a cox in a shell (boat). There are different styles of rowing; Sweep where each person has one blade (oar) each and Sculling where each person has two blades. Race take places over a set distance, commonly raced over 2km and 5km on both river and man-made courses. The winning crew will hold the fastest time.
