CYCLING
hello, we are the essex blades cycling club
Cycling is a great way of keeping fit and seeing the local area without spending too much money. Our Cycling Club offer cycle rides to suit whatever level cycling you want to do, from casual rides to the seaside, to intense training sessions for those that want to compete. We are trying to have Triathlon this year (2021-2022). Therefore, we will hold training session with Swimming and Waterpolo club and Athletics Club.
How many teams do we have?
Our members have the opportunity to compete individually for the Essex Blades in BUCS and other competitions throughout the year. At the same time, we suggest our member to join Colchester Rover Cycling Club, which is a historical cycling club around Colchester. In order to have more chances to ride with different people or even join races.
Recent honours?
Essex Blades Bronze Standard Club - 2016/17, 2017/18, 2018/19
Do I need anything else before I get involved?
Comfortable sports kit. Members are encouraged to bring their own bike and helemt if they wish, however club bikes and helemts are available to use if not.
