Volunteering for the Future

22/02/2018 - 22/02/2018

6pm - 8pm

LTB 8

Time to think about your future!

Elon Musk wants you on Mars by 2024, vTeam wants you to get an amazing job by the time you graduate. We’ve got a one up over Musk, we’re giving you solutions for the near future (even though we think he’s really cool).

Volunteering for the future is going to be an interactive two hour conference with vTeam partners, ex-volunteers and people who can help you get involved in more and to help you understand your potential to go up, up and away!

When? Thursday 22nd February, 6-8pm, LTB 8

Who’s coming?

Kate, Stop the Traffik (how to tackle modern day slavery)

Liam, Colchester Zoo (how a volunteering placement got him a job)

Anna, Global Voices (how being a project leader can help you develop skills)

Vivienne, Beacon House (how important volunteers are to local charities)

Simon, C2C Teaching training opportunities (how the future is in your hands)
