March's Competition: Science Fiction and Fantasy

31/03/2018 - 31/03/2018

11:59am - noon

N/A

Our fifth competition for March is on the theme of Science Fiction and Fantasy. This will be a good excuse to put into practice the skills you learnt at our worldbuilding workshop last month. As always, the theme can be interpreted in any way that you choose.

Our competitions are open to any form of writing from poetry to plays, prose to script, or anything else you can think of.

Prose can be up to 2000 words. Poetry can be no more than 2 sides of A4. And scripts can be no longer than 10 minutes.

Please include a title with your piece when you send it to us, and email it to writingatessex@gmail.com. This isn't a member's only competition and it's open to all, as long as you are a student, staff or alumni of Essex University. Please send your piece as a word document if you can please, as it makes it a little easier for us when it comes to reading them all.

The deadline is the 31st of March at 12pm.

There will be a themed book given to the winner of the competition each month.
