U. G. Gutman is the author of Winds of Strife, his debut fantasy novel and the first book of The Dawnless Night series! We are excited to announce that on Saturday 27th of February, between 14:00 and 16:00 UK time, he will be talking at Writing Society about his writing process, writing fantasy, his publishing process and more! At the end of the talk there will be a Q&A. Feel free to prepare some questions in advance.
This event is open to both students at the University of Essex and the general public.
As part of this event, we are planning on holding a charity raffle - we have a signed copy of Winds of Strife up for grabs. All the money will be donated to Refuge. Refuge is committed to a world where domestic violence and violence against women and girls is not tolerated, and where women and children can live in safety; "We aim to empower women and children to rebuild their lives, free from violence and fear. We provide a range of life-saving and life-changing services, and a voice for the voiceless." Tickets cost £1 each and will be on sale until midday on March 20th. Winners will be announced via our social media. So make sure to follow us there for updates!
