We are delighted to announce that Sir Vince Cable will be joining us for a virtual speakers event on  October 14th

Vince has had a long and successful career in both business and politics. He was a Labour Party councillor in Glasgow before joining the SDP in 1982.

When the SDP merged with the Liberal Party, he joined the newly formed Liberal Democrats and stood for Twickenham, winning in the 1997 General Election.

He then went on to become the deputy leader and shadow chancellor where he was credited with foreseeing the 2007/8 financial crash.

In 2010, Vince because the Business Secretary in the coalition government, losing his seat in the 2015 General Election.

He won his seat back in 2017 and became the Leader of the Liberal Democrats, leading us to our best ever Local and European elections before stepping down in 2019 before the general election.
