Freedom of expression and assembly are fundamental human rights. They allow for everyone to share opinions without government interference and gather peacefully in public or in private. However, these rights can often be limited in countries like China, Russia, France and recently, the United States, in the name of public order or maintaining government authority. Delegates joining the debate will simulate a UNHRC meeting to discuss the extent of the limitations to these freedoms.
A helpful guide to MUN will be provided during the session for beginners!
All interested are welcome to come along and try it out or simply observe!
