Football (or soccer) is a team sport played between 2 teams of 11 players and is one of the world's most popular sports. The game is played on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The object of the game is to score by getting the ball into the opposing goal, and the team that scores the most goals by the end of the match wins.

Football boots and shinpads are required at all training sessions and matches. Metal studs can only be worn on the grass pitches.
To be a part of the club, you need to join up as a member. All of the different club membership options are listed below with a description of what each membership covers.

Allows you to attend Come & Try sessions and Trials (and provides insurance cover at these sessions), vote in club elections, added to the club mailing list and receive a discount on Sports Fed tickets.
Includes all benefits of Basic Membership, but also allows the member to attend all club training sessions, play in BUCS matches and means they are insured against injury whilst at training and matches for the Men's Football Club. This membership also includes a UEFC training top.
Training for the Men's 1st and 2nd teams only.
Training for the Men's 3rd, 4th & 5th teams only. No metal studs allowed on the Astro.

Teams play in a league format progressing to a knock-out competition. Games are 10-15 minutes long, with maximum squads of 10.
Games are 50 minutes along, squads can have up to 20 players, with unlimited subs and a few slight adaptations. All games will have qualified referees with games played to FA Rules.
