What's happened?

After many years of trying, the vTeam have managed to secure volunteering opportunities for Essex students at Colchester Zoo. Starting in February, there will be six volunteers visiting Colchester Zoo on a weekly basis to help them run their education talks and help out with providing excellent customer to their customers.

The scheme and the students involved delivered way beyond expectations. Our volunteers provided a great experience for over 15,000 children and families! 2 of the students involved have also been offered Summer jobs at the Zoo, with one of the students joining the Zoo Keeper Scheme as he is thinking about the potential career at the Zoo.
