Even though the library buildings across all the campuses have been unfortunately been shut due to the ongoing global pandemic, there is still so much support for you through a wide range of online resources and services.

How the Library Services Team can support you through this time:

  • As you may know from our last study guide, Cambridge Press have made their journals and e-books available. But the Library are happy to tell students that an overwhelming number of publishers have now followed suit. This means that their e-books and journals are freely accessible for students to use. On top of this The Library Services team have bought and licened new publishers for the access of all our members.
  • All book loans are now being extended until the 5th June, including 7 day loans from Student Collection. This will also be assessed in the coming weeks as the situation is ever-changing.  The Library Services urge you to hold on to your loan until the library has re-opened. The normal fee associated with interlibrary loan item renewals is being waived, so we would advise that you contact us at to request renewal of your item. Do not worry about the item becoming overdue.

Finally, there will be some more guidance on your upcoming alternative assessments in due course. But please don’t hesitate to contact Library Services with any questions about resources, help and support.

Stay safe and take care,

Love SU Education Team and UoE Library Services.
