Hi guys, welcome back to my blog!

So, what have I done in the last two weeks? Well, I had some time off in the middle there, so I guess it’s been a period of two halves.

Before my annual leave we spent a lot of time doing the accommodation tours. They were really fun to do, but somewhat cringy looking back at… Hopefully, they got new students excited about coming to uni, and returning students excited about coming back.

The planning of Black History Month is also well under way, and unique for this year is that we’ll be able to do cross-campus events. We’re not letting Covid get in the way, but instead utilising online resources and making sure that our Loughton, Southend and Colchester campus can come together and celebrate black history.

After my annual leave I’ve had a lot of catching up to do, and as I’m writing this now, I feel like I’m still playing catch up. However, my most exciting meetings for next week are set, and I think we’ll see some really good content come out of those meetings that I hope to be able to update everyone on here in two weeks’ time.

But for now, I’m going to enjoy the bank holiday weekend,
