Remember how you felt when you arrived at Essex all those months or years ago?

The first face you saw? The first friend you made? The first time you tried to find your way to a lecture? The first time you joined training? The first time you went to your Societies event? The first night out at Sub Zero?

There are SO many firsts that our new students experience in their first weeks. Which is why we’d LOVE your help settling them in.

You’ve been there, done that and now’s the time to get your t-shirt!

Volunteer to be in our SU Welcome Crew and use your insider knowledge to help new students settle into life at Essex.

Plus, we’ll give you a free SU Welcome Crew t-shirt (and keep you refreshed during your shifts)!

The Welcome Crew are voluntary (unpaid) roles that have the power to make a HUGE difference to students’ lives.

As an SU Welcome Crew team member, you’ll be welcoming new students by being a friendly face, showing students around and most importantly making every one feel welcome.

We just ask that you’re enthusiastic, dedicated and good with communication and time management (and a returning Essex student!).
