Now in its third year, the Big Bang Fair is a careers event held annually in Essex for students aged 14 to 15 years old. The idea is for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) subjects to be presented in a fun and engaging way for students who are studying at GCSE level and on the cusp of choosing their future career paths.
Volunteers from the OT Society were there again to showcase what a rewarding career OT is to the therapists of tomorrow! They manned an interactive stand together with representatives from the local charity Nurture Dogs (who provide pets as therapy www.nurture-dogs.co.uk ).
The OT Society (with the help of their charismatic canine chums) were able to engage lots of students and promote occupational therapy to a wide audience of young students!
