THIS GUIDE WILL TAKE YOU THROUGH THE BASICS ON HOW TO USE A DSLR CAMERA

1. ISO  



The higher the number, the more sensitive the camera is to light.
Low ISO - Less sensitive to lught - photo is less exposed - less noise - clearer photo
High ISO - More sensitive to light - photo is more exposed - more noise - more grain on the photo

 

2. APERTURE



The highter the f-stop, the small the opening
Lower f-number - wider aperture opening - more light passes through - photo is more exposes - less of the photograpg is in focus - shallower depth of field
Highter f- number - narrower aperture opening - less light passes through the lens - photo is less exposed - more of the photograph is in focus - deeper depth of field

 

3. SHUTTER SPEED  



Shutter soeed 0 the amount of time the lens is open for.
Slower shutter speed - lens is open for longer - more light passes onto the sensor - image is more exposed - moving subjects may be blurry
Higher shutter speed - lens is open for shorter - less light passes onto the sensor - image is less exposed - moving subjets are not blurry.
