Results are in! We’re so excited to share that we have been ranked 7th in the country* in the latest NSS survey
We’re so excited to share that we have been ranked 7th in the country* in the latest National Student Survey (NSS) results, for representing the academic interests of students. This award is even more special as it’s based on feedback from over 300,000 real students, including our very own, graduating Essex students.
The survey involves over 400 universities & colleges across the UK. And we’re stoked at coming 7thin the table of English Universities!
We caught up with Callum, VP Education so that he could express just how much this means to him and the SU;
“We’re really pleased to see the hard work and dedication of our incredible student representatives and staff team recognised at a national level in this way. Supporting and representing our 17,000 student members is at the very heart of what we stand for as a Students’ Union and this has never been more important than during the last two years with the additional challenges that students have faced as a result of the pandemic. To be rated in the top ten nationally by students is an excellent achievement and everyone involved should be proud of what we’ve achieved”
And we echo this sentiment. We’re so proud of everything achieved. With over 370 trained student reps and weekly feedback forums, we work closely with the University to ensure that our members needs are always put first.
Some of the recent successes include our Exams Mode On and SU Angels campaigns which provided unrivalled support for our members during the exams period, offering free events, activities and free hot drinks.
Thank you to every one of our staff and partners who have helped us to achieve this incredible ranking AND most importantly, thank you to YOU – our members!
