From the week commencing on the 6th of January, there will be new changes to the first bus routes that will affect our campus.
The First Bus Company has an increasingly questionable future, but the Transport big plan group are looking into this to see how it can be rectified. Read more about the big plan transport group here, and you can join the transport discussion Facebook group here.
61 Highwoods to Wivenhoe
Revised improved Sunday daytime service, with buses operating the full length of the route between Wivenhoe and Highwoods, every 20 minutes.
62-62A-62B-62C Colchester North to Brightlingsea
A revised, more frequent timetable will operate up to every 10 minutes between North Station and Wivenhoe with three buses per hour continuing to Brightlingsea. Between University of Essex and Colchester town centre, three buses per hour will operate via East Hill and three buses per hour via Hythe Hill and Magdalen Street, replacing services 97 and 98 along this section of route. An additional Sunday service 62C will operate every hour between Colchester town centre and the University of Essex, via Hythe Hill and Magdalen Street.

75B Colchester to University of Essex via Greenstead
This service will be withdrawn, due to poor usage - services 64 and 64A to Greenstead will operate to a revised more frequent timetable.
97-98 Colchester to Walton via Clacton
Services withdrawn - the section of route between Colchester and Wivenhoe via Magdalen Street and University of Essex will be covered by revised services 62B and 62C. The evening and Sunday tendered journeys on services 7, 8, 74B and 76 will continue to operate.
