This page contains information on which SU services are open during lockdown.

Although some of our services are no longer able to open due to government guidelines (for example our bars) we're continuing to do everything we can to make sure that we're still offering the best possible support and services.

Following the new lockdown issued on 4th January, we have moved SU Advice online, meaning that you can still access confidential support and guidance when you need it.

Even though our SU Advice building will be closed to visitors you can still speak with one of our helpful advisers from Monday to Friday (1-4pm during the winter break and then 10am-4pm during term) using the contact details below,  Southend and Loughton students can also use these details to access free support and advice.

Email – (Colchester); (Southend); (Loughton)

Phone – 07395 955656 or 07511 303169*

*Please note we are not always able to answer the phones if we are in appointments so please leave a message and we'll try to return the call as soon as possible!  Email is usually the best way to get in touch with us for that reason.

Zoom - We're also holding a drop-in open hour on Zoom on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2pm – 3pm where you can speak to one of the team about any issues that you're experiencing.  The Zoom meeting ID for these times is 565 702 6431.

With big changes to the way teaching is happening at Essex, as your SU we're here to support you and represent your academic interests to the Uni.  We'll continue to help you get the best degree possible, contact us by emailing or by completing our Live Feedback Form.
