Get ready for our exclusive Essex SU app...

Through our exciting partnership with the Umii app, you can meet other Essex students online as soon as you unlock your SU membership... 

Whether you want to chat to others with the same interests, connect with people on the same course or share tips on getting ready to come to Essex? Umii makes it happen! 

Start making plans now! Arrange to meet for a coffee when you arrive or go along to an event together… who knows, you may even make friends for life… before you even arrive. 

This is your opportunity to start building friendships before you even set foot on campus. Your journey starts now.

HOW DOES IT WORK?...

1.

Unlock your SU membership. Then, download Umii, login with your Essex email, set up your profile and you're ready to go!

2.

Every day Umii will suggest 5 new Essex students to connect with. 

3.

Before you know it you'll be connecting and messaging other Essex students and whether it's a shared love of pizza or something else, hopefully you'll make some great friends to start your journey at Essex with.

WHAT'S THE CATCH?

There isn’t one! It's all completely FREE as part of your SU membership.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Once you have completed your university online registration and got your @essex email address- head to your app store of choice and download the app.  

Connect and message other students that you have things in common with, find people in your department, meet people on your campus or find other students studying remotely.
