Its Environment Week, and along with many activities we wanted to show you have you can save money and the planet by mending your clothes. It is a brilliant way to extend the life of your clothing, and it makes a powerful statement about your values. The most sustainable thing you can do is work with what your already have. In this article, we’ll explore different types of clothing repair, and how to fix them, whether you do it yourself or outsource some help.

Repairing your clothing can feel daunting if you haven’t sewn before or feel your sewing skills aren’t up to scratch, thinking that you might do it wrong or make it worse. But with a little patience and determination, learning to repair your clothes is an empowering and creative way to build a more sustainable wardrobe.
