Hey there!
If you’ve found your way here, it means you share our passion for STEM — and we are more than excited to WELCOME YOU TO OUR FAMILY
Founded at the University of Essex in 2020, WiSTEM is the largest academic society that includes students, alumni, academics, and professionals. We aim to inspire, empower, and uplift by fostering a supportive, inclusive and opportunity-rich environment.

WHO WE ARE?

We are an active comunity that is dedicated to advancing gender equality in STEM. We support women and underrepresented genders pursuing careers or studies in these fields, raise awareness about diversity challenges, and empower our members to actively drive positive change. We work closely with departments and societies at the University of Essex to address and tackle the underlying, diverse, and intersectional causes of gender disparity.
