Choir Society
If you love singing and having fun then this society is for you. This society represents the students within the University of Essex Choir!
The University of Essex Choir is a large choral society open to everyone- students, staff and anyone in and around Colchester who can make it to rehearsals, where well known choral pieces are sung. The Choir performs several concerts a year at amazing venues such as the Snape Maltings Theatre and Chelmsford Cathedral singing with world renowned orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. During COVID 19 we were not able to hold a concert however we carried on doing rehearsal over Zoom with our new director of music Ben Vonberg-Clark.
Before deciding whether you want to join you can come along to an open rehearsal! To get all the information you need, including the music, for rehearsals or if you have any questions or concerns at all then please either contact the President or join our Facebook group. Both can be found under the contact page on this site.
So whatever your music taste or skill level, this society is for you! Whether you are an experienced singer or just enjoy singing in the shower, Choir Society can't wait to meet you!
If you would like to join a group please pick the appropriate membership. Please contact the group committee if you have any queries about which membership is right for you.
You must be a member of this group to vote in their elections.
