The Christian Union is a multi-denominational society, whose primary aim and focus is to give every student at the University of Essex an opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ. We have a Main Meeting every Tuesday evening (details below); if you’re not a Christian and want to find out more, or a Christian continuing your faith journey, you're always welcome to come along!
We believe that Christians building relationships with other Christians - on and off campus - is essential during our university years, so if you want to make some friends, find a support group, or just discover more about the Christian faith, you will always be welcome. We have also been blessed with many connections with lots of the local churches in Colchester, so if you want any help finding a church for yourself, we would love to link you with one of them. Main Meetings
This is the big one - We gather once a week during term time to worship, spend time in God's word, pray, and spend time together too! We have local Pastor's and speakers come in to teach us more from God's word, as well as discuss and pray together to help build each other up. If you're interested, come along to find out more! There'll always be a warm welcome.

Impact Groups
Impact Groups are a weekly, deeper Bible study in small groups, and are at the heart of CU life. They help and equip students to live and speak for Jesus whilst at university. by first being impacted by God’s word, then seeking to impact the university for good in Jesus’ name. Impact Groups are a wonderful place to make friends, get connected into CU life and receive help in finding a local church. If you'd like to join an Impact Group, contact us below, and we'll get you connected with one.

Prayer Meetings
Prayer is essential to us as a CU, as we believe that God can do wonderful things if we just ask Him. We have a weekly prayer meeting during term time, and we'll put the time here when it's finalised.
