We are the University's LGBTQ+ Society, existing to bring the community together, whether it be through informative presentations, open discussions, or social events. Having a space where your identity isn't up for debate is more than just important, it's integral for LGBTQ+ people. We prioritise holding a space for our members to come together and simply exist amongst their community!
Our weekly meetings, held on Thursdays from 6 to 8pm, typically consist of (visually-stunning and amazingly-put-together) presentations on topics related to the LGBTQ+ community, such as LGBTQ+ media, sex and relationships, and questioning your identity. We always allow our meetings to be fully interactive, opening discussions up amongst our members so that everyone who would like to share their thoughts and experiences have a comfortable environment to do so in. After our society meetings, we like to hang out in Top Bar on campus and have a good old time! We also hold coffee socials every Tuesday to provide an easier environment for our members to get to know one another.
