WELCOME TO PPE SOC 2021/2022!!

The University of Essex PPE Society aims to provide a social space for all students interested in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. NOT A PPE STUDENT? NO WORRIES, the society welcomes everyone and we cant wait to meet you! We also hope to enrich the education of our members by inviting speakers - both Essex lecturers and external speakers (academics and notable figures, and Essex PPE alumni) - to talk about the merits and opportunities brought of the interdisciplinary study of the PPE subjects and on topics of interest related to this subject. 

Our Aims:

-  Be actively involved in Open Days and Applicant Days to promote studying PPE and our departments more generally

-  Host as many socials a term to build a network among students

-  Hold academic talks (LAST YEAR we took part in events hosting Eammon Butler, Director of the Adam Smith Institute - and Andy Haldane, Chief Economist of the Bank of England)

-  Collaborate with existing societies and PPE societies at other universities to maximise our positive impact on our members
