Basketball (Women's)

WHAT IS BASKETBALL?

Basketball is a fast-paced team sport played with 5 players on each side.

The aim of the game is to score more points than the other team in 4 x 10 minute periods by shooting the ball into the basket 10 feet above the ground.

You can dribble and pass to keep the ball moving and help you to get past opponents trying to stop you from scoring.

HOW MANY TEAMS DO WE HAVE?

  • Women's 1st team (BUCS Premier South)
  • Women's 2nd team (BUCS South East 2B)

At Essex we strive to provide innovative, athlete-centred programmes in our focus sports; Volleyball, Basketball and Rugby sevens. To get involved, all you need are suitable non-marking trainers/basketball shoes. Gumshields are optional.
