RUNNING A STALL ON THE SQUARE TO SELL FOOD FOR YOUR CLUB OR SOCIETY? 

We can now offer you the chance get your CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety which is legal requirement for anyone who wants to make or serve food. 

Complete this course and you will hold a nationally recognised professional qualification! 

What will I learn?

  • The importance of Food Safety
  • Knowledge of the systems, techniques and procedures involved in food handling
  • Understand how to control food safety risks (personal hygiene, food storage, cooking and handling)
  • Confidence and expertise to safely deliver quality food to customers

 

What will I do?

The course runs over 1 day, with a 60 min multiple choice assessment at the end which is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) - pass this and  you will have a nationally recognised professional qualification in the safe handling of food which is a legal requirement for any role working with food.

Due to the popularity and cost for us to run this session free of charge for you, we ask that a £5 deposit is paid in cash within 2 working days of reserving your space online at SU reception. The deposit is returned to you on attendance at the session, but is non-refundable if you fail to attend the session.
