ENACTUS and DKMS Blood Cancer Awareness Stall

28/05/2025 - 28/05/2025

10am - 4pm

Square 3

Join us on Square 3 for a Blood Cancer Awareness Charity Event.

Every year on 28th May it is World Blood Cancer Day.  This global awareness day is dedicated to the fight against blood cancer.

DKMS are a non profit organisation looking to raise awareness of Blood Cancer and recruit donors.

Every 14 minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with blood cancer, and only 30% of patients are able to find a compatible donor in their family. DKMS work tirelessly to recruit more people to the stem cell register, to work towards ensuring every patient in need of a stem cell donor match can find one. Sadly, currently that is not the case. Only 7% of the  UK population is registered.

Anyone aged between 17 and 55 years old and in general good health can join the register.

Come down to Square 3 to take part in fun activities and the chance to find out more about becoming a life saving donor.

Collaboration with the Essex ENACTUS Society.
