Your weekly round-up of Essex Blades news.
Week 2 saw the start of the season for most Essex Blades teams, many of whom were competing in higher tier 1 leagues against challenging opponents.
We had 301 Essex Students competing across 32 matches, of which 19 were away.
Some highlights of the week:
- An emphatic 11-0 win to our Essex Blades Men’s Football 5th team away to Buckinghamshire New 3rds
- Basketball Men’s 2nds beat Kingston 1st 113-53
- Essex Blades Men’s Hockey were back to winning ways with a 3-0 away win against Kings College
- Essex Women’s Lacrosse were dominating in their 24-0 away win against Kent 3rd
- At home, our Women’s Basketball 1st team demonstrated the reason for their no.1 ranking, with a demolition of Cardiff University, winning 109-21.
